Putting Ideas into Life!

Remembering last Friday I must admit it was a great afternoon. Just in several hours we met so many people, so different, young, full of creative energy and desire to put their ideas into life.
The students of the Liceo Scentifico Statale “G. Galilei” really made me feel happy. It was a pleasure to meet young people whose circle of interest is not limited by only music, dancing and hanging out with friends. They are concerned not only about their own future but also the world around them. Being school kids they already create and implement environmental projects to make a difference and improve their home town. That is amazing! And, in my opinion, they are really lucky to have met Annibale, an efficient person who encourages them to take part in “Youth-in-Action” program. I wish them good luck and more brilliant projects to carry out.
Another thing that really made my day was the possibility to enter the sacred and secret places where the colours and the shining lights of the famous Italian Carnival come to life. It was really nice to talk to the people who with their own hands create all this beauty. But what I liked the most that they are very open-minded and involve in that process as volunteers also refugees living in Manfredonia. I think for them it’s a good way to socialize and to become more active and responsible.
Of course, I cannot but mention our visit to the youth center LUC which is relatively new (it was founded 2 years ago) but they’ve done and keep on doing a huge scope of activities. For example, if you are part of a music band but unfortunately you don’t have the facilities you may come to LUC and make use of the three rehearsal rooms. They are always at your disposal at a little symbolic price. LUC is famous for regular musical festivals which gather crowds of young people in Manfredonia. Apart from that LUC regularly conduct video, movie, photography workshops and host exhibitions. Well, if I lived there I’d definitely come to LUC again to participate in their activities.
And I’d like to finish with words of gratitude to Annibale and all the people who welcomed us on that day.
It was a beautiful experience for me!
